What’s it all about?
It’s about that book you like, that thing you’re into, that film you saw…
It’s my intention to go on a bit, putting mildly interesting words out there, and hopefully more often than not sharing beautiful items, clever little readings and general comments on all things a little bit bookish.
I also have a few nerdy tendencies, so I might well stray from time to time into geek territory – please feel free to pull me up if I go off on too much of a tangent.
Go ahead and share your thoughts on my thoughts, and on the bits and pieces I come across. Feel free to let us know if you come across anything delightful.
I am very much looking forward to sharing and reading. I think I’m gonna love my brand new blog and I hope you do too.

Can I just recommend an entirely fluffy piece called “Mary Ann in Autumn” by Armistead Maupin- came out Nov 2010…. it is a very light little book which is part of the legendary Tales of the City series…. not sure if Armistead is ready to admit to beginning another leg of the saga of the extended Barbary Lane family but I enjoyed it for what is was. A true return to the slightly melodramatic and totally character driven tradition of “Tales”
“Michael Tolliver Lives” from a couple of years ago was the bridge between the old and new generations of the family and for anyone who knows a little bit about what I’m talking about, it was nice to know he was still alive with HIV and even better to hear back from Armistead.
Mandi or anyone else, if you haven’t read Tales, start at number one and just enjoy it, watch the social drama unfold and let the politics remain in the background. The characters will hopefully become a part of your history in the way that they have become a part of mine….

Def start at the beginning, they are a very easy read, it’s the characters and the social history stuff that rocks the most!
